Nuvem Round Fruit Basket

The Nuvem Round Fruit Basket, designed by the visionary Campana brothers for Alessi, is a brilliant exercise in turning industrial materials into organic art. Named after the Portuguese word for “cloud,” this sculptural piece is meticulously crafted from a tangled web of anodized aluminum wire, resulting in a nest-like structure that is both incredibly lightweight and visually ethereal. Its open-weave design isn’t just aesthetic; it provides essential ventilation to keep fruit fresh while casting intricate, lace-like shadows across your countertop. Whether filled with vibrant produce or left empty as a bold centerpiece, the Nuvem basket perfectly embodies the Campanas’ signature “chaos” style, blending artisanal craftsmanship with a sleek, modern finish.
